TekSynap, a leading provider of enterprise information technology solutions for Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, state, and commercial customers worldwide, announced today the successful completion of its first contract year under the DLA J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS) contract. JETS is an eight-year, $6 Billion IDIQ contract covering 21 information technology, technical and management task areas in support of the DLA’s information operations office, program offices and other DoD agencies. These task areas include network and telecommunications, information assurance, sustainment and maintenance, configuration management, enterprise data strategy, systems engineering, test and documentation, virtual workforce training, financial budget and IT audit readiness support services. TekSynap’s success under the J6 JETS acquisition vehicle over the important initial contract year has been propelled by its understanding of the unique challenges and special demands of this effort, and its ability to rapidly ramp up to respond with effective solutions to numerous competitive task orders across a wide swath of task areas in support of multiple DLA customers.
JETS is a highly competitive contract. JETS awardees are divided into categories based on company size and SBA classification consisting of 14 Other than Small Business contractors (includes 87 additional CTA Members), 22 Small Business contractors, and 19 Small 8(a) Business contractors totaling 142 potential awardees. This creates a fierce competitive bidding environment and a large selection pool of potential awardees for each task order from which DLA can secure the best quality services at the best possible price. TekSynap is an 8(a) Small Business award recipient, but is also a member of the successful General Dynamics Information Technology Contractor Team Arrangement (CTA) and has been eligible to compete on all unrestricted task orders as well as small business task orders. Successfully competing in this environment requires the application of experience and ingenuity for the benefit of DLA J6, DLA end users, and other stakeholders to provide DLA with a full spectrum of logistics and technical services. TekSynap and its teaming partners have been extremely active on this contract during the first year, winning over 65% of the task orders for which it submitted a response – a result that far exceeds both TekSynap’s company objective and that of other contract holders.
